Eminem has revealed an emotional music video for “Temporary” featuring Skylar Grey.
Eminem has used his latest music video to drop some major news. In the video for “Temporary,” a track from “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)“, he reveals that his daughter, Hailie Jade, is expecting a child, and he’ll soon be a grandfather.
Reflecting on mortality, Eminem begins the song by addressing a question he often gets: “A lot of people ask me am I afraid of death? The truth is, I think what scares me the most is not being able to say all the things I wanna say to you when I’m no longer here. So this song is for Hailie, for when that day comes.”
The video opens with a nostalgic montage of childhood photos and home videos of Hailie, then transitions to more recent footage, including scenes from her wedding this past May.
In a heartfelt moment near the end, Hailie surprises her father with a Detroit Lions jersey bearing the word “Grandpa” and a photo of her ultrasound.
