JSOUL & B.Jamelle – Mellowdisiac [EP]

Baltimore producer JSOUL and D.C. singer/songwriter B.Jamelle have linked up for a new joint EP titled “Mellowdisiac”.

The eclectic duo have come together to collaborate on a 9 track EP titled “Mellowdisiac”. A collection of clean yet dusty melody driven jazz/soul infused tracks with an unorthodox approach. Imagine, if you will, that Madlib had a sonic baby with Jill Scott and that baby grew up to make music, it just might sound like this. The highly poetic lyrical content and whimsical vocal performance by B.Jamelle adds an extra layer of validity to the wildly creative, detailed and sometimes minimal music production of JSOUL. The perfect blend of Cool and sophisticatedly weird. Jazz is the foundation that the EP builds on that eventually morphs into its own thing. All in All their mission was to put together a body of work that accurately represents them both without compromise, and we’d like to believe that the mission was accomplished.
