Lupe Fiasco – Samurai [Album Stream]

Lupe Fiasco has finally released his new album, “Samurai”.

The Chicago artist has been working on his album “Samurai” for many years. Similar to some of his other projects (like “ROY”, “The Cool 2”, “CRS”, and “SKULLS”), there were times when it seemed the album might never be released and could end up shelved indefinitely. However, tonight Lupe finally releases it. For those unfamiliar with the background, the album is inspired by Amy Winehouse, specifically a conversation she had with Salaam Remi where she mentioned writing battle raps like a samurai. This moment, featured in a documentary about her, sparked Lupe’s creativity. Like his previous album “Drill Music In Zion”, “Samurai” is entirely produced by his longtime friend and collaborator, Soundtrakk.

You can stream the 8-track project in its entirety below.
