To celebrate the start of MERRY JANE’s “Loud and Clear,” a grassroots campaign focused on continuing the fight for cannabis legalization, a who’s who of 420-friendly artists and activists joined forces for an infused dinner party with eyes towards effecting change. With dishes by chef Nikki Steward, DJ Snoopadelic (aka Snoop Dogg), Blackish star Anthony Anderson, singer Faith Evans, rapper Too $hort, a host of cannabis-minded celebrities, and some of the Golden State’s most notable legal weed companies met in Los Angeles at the home of Absolut Elyx vodka CEO Jonas Tahlin for an eventful evening earlier this month. The menu boasted Nashville hot chicken & waffle skewers with infused bourbon maple syrup, Thai ceviche with coconut & lemongrass, and gazpacho mussel shooters infused with Absolut Elyx Vodka. To make the dishes really pop, Steward infused the meal with products from industry heavyweights like Ruby CBD Sugar, Mind Tricks’”Bottom of the Ninth” infused toffee, Dr. Norm’s Chocolate Chip Therapy 5mg Cookies, and plenty of Nor Cal’s Humboldt Brothers’ Chem Haze flowers. In addition to the dank fine dining, guests were invited to experience complimentary massages with Mary’s Medicinals Elite CBD Muscle Freeze oil, a vape station from INDVR, candy from Mind Tricks, and a blunt rolling station courtesy of Dutch Masters, featuring hand rolled masterpieces stuffed full of Humboldt Bro’s Strawberry Jack and Fire OG.
