Famed for his 1995 hits “Whutcha Want?” and “Any Emcee”, Nine just released a mixtape, “No Country For Old Men“, in preparation of his upcoming full-length album that is recorded and completed. In this interview, Nine also dives into some of his history when he went by the name Ricochet in the group Deuces Wild, alongside Centipede and Funkmaster Flex in the 1980s.

Speaking on being a classically trained musician he opens up about how being trained is the key to get more work right away, you need to play in the settings of certain genre’s to get familiar with the work. Dipping his hand in the hip hop pot Glasper worked on 8 songs on “To Pimp A Butterfly.” Before ending this incredible interview he makes SITM history by playing keys over the 5 Fingers Of Death, improvising sweet melodies for the whole crew.
