Read moreWatch Audio Push play our game of “This or That.” as part of our new video series, where we get artists to answer a series of questions, weighing two options against each other. Gunplay was featured in the first episode, and now we’ve got Oktane and Price in a new “This Or That.” It’s definitely a bit more difficult to play the game with two people, because sometimes their opinions vary, but for the most part these two seem to be in agreeance with each other– when it comes to Drake or Meek Mill, they both quickly agree on Drake. This about sums it up: “Drake, damn Drake, damn. Damn Drake.” They also weigh in on West or East, Texting or Calling and many more. Watch above and stay tuned for more “This or That” episodes.
Read moreRhythm Roulette is back with four brand new episodes live from The Sprite Corner in New York City. Mannie Fresh, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Exile, and Just Blaze treated fans to an exclusive experience, inviting them to watch as they took our Rhythm Roulette challenge live, followed by an in-depth Q&A session hosted by Young Guru. This time around, Exile joins us to play a game of Rhythm Roulette. Exile’s ability to manipulate and finely chop sounds into soulful and melodic beats are what sets him apart from most. From doing work with Mass Appeal Records’ Fashawn, to crafting airy choir-like joints for Mobb Deep, Exile’s music speaks for itself. After making his way through three randomly selected records, Exile flipped one of the records in three different ways, showing how versatile his beats can get. He even managed to sample Fashawn and include his vocals on one of the tracks. Stay tuned for more episodes of Rhythm Roulette from The Sprite Corner, featuring Georgia Anne Muldrow and Just Blaze. In the meantime, hit the video player up top to watch Exile get busy on the production.

Read moreDetroit emcee Obie Trice was a little vexed with VladTV after his last interview with us in 2013. In the clip, Trice detailed times where Eminem would rewrite his lyrics after listening to his. According to him, we made it seem as if he was “sonning” Em. “I got a lot of flak for that s***,” he tells us during his latest sit-down. Clearing up his statement, Obie Trice says “when I read a verse he saw my lyrics, he listened to the lyrics and he heard the rap. He was like ‘f*** that I’m gonna rewrite my s***.’” After things were sorted out, the former Shady records artist was asked how he believes the world may feel if we were to ever find out Eminem used a reference track. Obie doesn’t feel it would “tarnish anything,” and “could he continue moving? Yes, indeed.” “But I dont’ think that some real hip-hop cats will respect him anymore,” he reasons. Watch for more above.
