Falcons feat. GoldLink & Chaz French – Aquafina [Stream]

Falcons will make his Fool’s Gold debut with the expansive new Terra EP, out everywhere 7/17. The producer and DJ from LA’s buzzing Athletixx crew lives up to his soaring namesake and potent live rep (from Boiler Room to Coachella and beyond) with a four-track EP that takes club music to it’s wildest frontiers yet. Lead track “Aquafina” sets the tone, featuring XXL Freshman Cover star GoldLink and fellow up-and-comer Chaz French talking extra slick over an elementally heavy beat. They’ll perform the track together for the first time at The Roxy in LA tonight, and Falcons will continue to bring his earth-shaking sound to clubs around the country all summer.

Mopreme Shakur: “If Alive, 2Pac And Biggie Would’ve Been Cool” [Video]

In light of what would have been Tupac’s 44th birthday, we have his step-brother and fellow artist Mopreme Shakur shedding information on his relationship with the late Biggie Smalls, and how he feels they would’ve made amends with each other had they both been still alive today. Speaking on the early days, Mopreme recalls meeting The Notorious B.I.G. when Tupac was already a full-fledged celebrity, while Biggie was merely “on the come-up.” The two reportedly had an amicable relationship, and ‘Pac even wanted Biggie to be apart of his “Thug Life” concept. “‘Party & Bull****’, ‘Pac and I loved that s***,” Mopreme recalled. As we all know by now, everything was good between the two until the infamous Quad studios shooting, a time Mopreme doesn’t care to speak too much on. “I can’t talk about everything I know, but I will tell you [the situation was] not that simple…’Pac was extra sensitive considering what had just happened to him.” In the end however, Mopreme Shakur says that “if you didn’t fight with ‘Pac you didn’t know him that well.” Hear more about Tupac’s beef with the famed Brooklyn emcee in the clip.
