Vince Staples Debuts New Single Featuring Future @ SXSW 2015 [Video]

Vince Staples was definitely one of the highlights at the HNHH-sponsored Action Bronson South by South Wonderful showcase (apart from the headliners, Curren$y and Action, of course). Vince Staples did his thing, getting the crowd hype by debuting a never-before-heard song. The record, which definitely features Future, sounds like it has a West Coast meets trap music vibe, appropriately enough given the merging of Cali x Atlanta rappers. We need the CDQ for this, like, today! Check out the dope performance of the new single up top. Vince also ran through some fan-favorites, including “Blue Suede,” which you’ll be able to catch in our South By South Wonderful recap dropping later today.

Earl Sweatshirt Interview w/ NPR [Stream]

The 21-year-old spoke with Microphone Check in Austin, Texas, during SXSW a couple days before the release of his second major label album. He says he feels like I Don’t Like S—, I Don’t Go Outside is really his first album, though. “This is the first thing that I’ve said that I fully stand behind, like the good and the bad of it,” he says. “I’ve never been this transparent with myself or with music. I’ve never been behind myself this much.”
