O.T. Genasis: “My Debut Album’s Gonna Drop This Year” [Video]

We caught up with O.T. Genasis over the All-Star weekend, where the “CoCo” rapper spoke about working with Chris Brown, Meek and Jeezy for the remixes to his hit song, plus what we can be expecting from the Cali rapper in the near future. On linking up with Meek Mill and Jeezy for Part 2 of “CoCo” and Chris Brown for Part 3, O.T. says they’re all his homies and it was great to work with them. “Everybody delivered and did their sh*t,” he adds with a chuckle. Speaking on what he’s got in the works, O.T. says another single will be dropping very soon, and we can expect to see his debut album release at some point this year. Kid Ink Explains Why He Passed On Kanye West’s “Mercy” Beat [Video]

LA rapper Kid Ink sat down with VladTV and spoke on past legal woes, making those around him feel spoiled, and passing on the “Mercy” beat made famous by Kanye West & G.O.O.D. Music. Ink reveals that he passed on the track because the hook was already in place and couldn’t be removed, and he just couldn’t see himself rapping about a Lamborghini Murcielago so early in his career, as it would be unrealistic for him, but make perfect sense for Kanye. Fetty Wap On Roc City Classic And Surprising Kanye West Cosign [Video]

“Trap Queen” rapper Fetty Wap received a cosign thousands of rappers would kill for when Kanye West invited him on stage during the first annual Roc City Classic. VladTV caught up with Fetty and asked about the “G.O.O.D.” music moment, which he called “life-changing.” He hopes Kanye will remix “Trap Queen” or hop on a new song with him in the future. He was also shocked and humbled to see stars like Rihanna, Beyonce and Jay Z dancing and rapping the lyric to his song.
