Rich Homie doesn’t have a problem with Young Thug calling him his “hubby” among other things, because he knows Thug personally and knows that he only says those things because it’s the way he chooses to talk. Royce Da 5’9 shared his thoughts on Tyler, the Creator recently trashing the ShadyXV compilation on Twitter. Royce refused to comment on Tyler’s opinions from a personal perspective, but rather respected his words as being his own views. Royce recalled having met Tyler and his crew, and thinks that it’s unfortunate for Tyler to use his public platform to degrade Eminem’s latest work after having met him personally. Royce explained that Eminem put the same effort into the Shady XV compilation as he did his previous albums so if a person is going to hate on this one, then they should hate on his entire body of work.

During a sit down with VladTV, rapper Logic weighed in on the importance of truth in hip hop, and being able to back up the persona you create. The Maryland emcee finds no problem with Iggy Azalea adopting the persona of a Southern rapper, because he believes she draws her musical inspiration from that genre and therefore honors it by rapping in that way. Logic feels that the persona a rapper takes on isn’t what’s truly important, but rather that the emcee can back up the material they choose to rap about. Scarface On Slain NYPD: “I Don’t Want To See Cops Or People Dying” [Video]

VladTV spoke with Scarface about the recent execution of two NYPD officers who were shot and killed in cold blood while sitting in their car in Brooklyn, NY. Scarface was very disturbed by the shooting, considering that the two men who were killed did absolutely nothing to provoke their lives being taken. He explained that situations such as the current tension between the police throughout the United States and the citizens of this nation, will spawn those who are willing to “die for the cause.” Face stated that he doesn’t want to see anyone die over these issues, and thinks that it is sad and shameful for any lives to be taken.

Maino Talks On Brooklyn, Police Brutality & New Book He’s Writing [Video]

Maino gets his talk on in our 11-minute interview with the Brooklyn native. After delivering his second instalment of King of Brooklyn in November, we spoke to the rapper on his self-appointed king title as well as his native neighborhood. Maino talks about being a voice for his peers and the streets alike, as well as fellow New York rappers who may not necessarily rep the NY sound (which he says is completely okay). Maino goes on to talk about the police in light of recent events, and if rappers should speak out against things like police brutality.
