Yo Gotti Talks “Errybody,” Linking Up With Snootie Wild [Video]

HNHH’s own correspondent Baker was on the scene for Howard’s annual homecoming event, and one of the artists he caught up with backstage was Yo Gotti. The Memphis rapper, who supported Teyana Taylor at the show, said that he’s been coming to Howard homecoming for years, even before he was rapping. Gotti talks the success of his 2014 single “Errybody,” and details its unique, storyline-driven video. He also tells us how he linked up with current CMG signee Snootie Wild after hearing “Yayo” in several Memphis clubs. The pair have a remix of Snootie’s “Made Me,” with features from Jeremih and Lil Boosie, dropping very soon.

Jagged Edge Talks “J.E Heartbreak II”, Reuniting With Jermaine Dupri & More [Video]

Many believe that R&B is no longer what it was when love was highlighted. After a few years of not releasing a studio album, So So Def R&B crew Jagged Edge is back to bring new life to R&B music as we know it. Recently, HHS1987 linked up with So So Def’s own Jagged Edge to discuss an array of things. We sat down with Jagged Edge to get some insight on their careers and how they have managed to stay relevant after bring in the game for nearly 20 years. J.E. spoke on the importance of understanding how to compose and how their individual life experiences help their music stay relatable. We also spoke with J.E. on why they felt it was perfect to reunite with Jermaine Dupri at this point in their career. Having spent a little time on Slip N Slide Records, J.E. spoke on their reunion with Jermaine Dupri and what they hope their fans take from “J.E. Heartbreak II”.

Ab-Soul Talks His Vision Worsening; Diddy’s Advise And Potential “Druggys With Hoes” Album [Video]

In a recent interview with Justin D. Live, Ab Soul revealed that the reason he always wore glasses was due to a rare eye condition. With the case of Stevens Johnson Syndrome “worsening”, Ab Soul elaborates on his hesitation to go under the knife and get a corneal transplant. Even thought good friend, Sean “Diddy” Combs advised him to do so. “It (Stevens Johnson Syndrome) definitely worsens. Absolutely… My cornea is more scared now than when I talked to you the last time — I was talking to Puffy – Dr. Sean Combs & he really suggest that I try to get a corneal transplant, but i’m just a little eerie because, what if they mess up?” The King of Carson confirmed that there is definitely a Final Version of ‘Druggys witH Hoes pt. 3′, but it just needs to be cleared by Top Dawg. “It’s gotta come from the boss tho, Top Dawg. It’s done It was supposed to go on the album, we just couldn’t clear the sample. That’s why it wasn’t on Oxymoron. — couldn’t clear Druggys witH Hoes pt. 3 very unfortunate.” Danny Brown mentioned in a recent XXL Interview (http://www.xxlmag.com/news/2013/10/da…) that Ab Soul, ScHool Boy Q & Himself were thinking of doing a “Druggys with Hoes’ group album. After asking if there was a slight chance that this rumor was valid, Ab Soul immediately interjected by reassuring his fans that “it’s still possible.”
