Kevin Gates Dismisses His Rumored Beef With Young Thug, Talks Working With Boosie & More [Video]

In the music industry, things are rarely what they seem to be. Recently, we caught up with Atlantic Records own Kevin Gates on the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards Green Carpet. Despite many Hip-Hop sites reporting that Kevin Gates and Rich Gang’s own Young Thug were beefing via social media, Kevin Gates cleared the air letting us know that Thugger is his little bro and there is no beef between the two rappers. Kevin Gates also spoke with us on his future. After headlining his own “By Any Means” tour, Gates is ready to hit the road again with Decatur Hip-Hop artist B.o.B starting in October. Kevin Gates also explained the true meaning behind his motto “I Don’t Get Tired”. Gates informed us on why his hustle differs from other artist in the music industry. When asked to explain his motto, Gates replied ” It’s self explanatory, I don’t get tired. I don’t get tired of being focused, get money, I don’t get tired”. Before concluding the interview we also spoke to Kevin Gates about possibly working with fellow Louisiana Hip-Hop artist Boosie on a new project and new music in the future. Gates informed us that he is looking forward to working with Boosie again soon but their schedules haven’t provided them time to work on anything new to date. Ty Dolla Sign also discussed how he ended up on the remix to Jeremih’s latest single “Don’t Tell Em”. With Ty Dolla Sign’s good friend producing the single, Ty Dolla Sign informed us that Jeremih had reached out to him about getting on the remix and going into the lab with him and knocking it right out. Ty Dolla Sign also spoke to us about his upcoming tour “In too Deep” featuring Chicago’s own Lil Bibby. Set to kickoff on October 1st, Ty Dolla Sign informed us it will be a tour unlike any other. Elle Varner Details Her “Trap Jazz” Sound & New Music [Video]

Elle Varner sat down for an exclusive interview with VladTV, where she explained the meaning behind her new album title, “Four Letter Word.” She explains that the idea came up after she released her song “F**k It All,” but says it evolved into an open-ended meaning that people could take to mean many different things. Vlad then switched up the conversation by asking Elle what she means when she calls her music “trap jazz,” and she explained that she’s drawn to trap beats that she likes pairing with her “jazzy” voice. When asked who her favorite trap stars are, Elle is at a loss for names, but says she also likes crunk music like Ying Yang Twins and also Bun B. At the end of the conversation, Elle spoke about her love for Kanye and Adele, and when asked about being compared to the “Rolling in the Deep” singer, Elle said “it’s an honor.” She then gave viewers a taste of her acoustic vocal stylings by singing a snippet from “Don’t Wanna Dance.”
