SkyBlew feat. D&D Sluggers – The Ballad Of Pigeon Man [Stream]

In celebration of his birthday today. SkyBlew decided to release the single “Ballad Of The Pigeon Man” featuring D&D Sluggers (@DDSluggers) (who SkyBlew recently toured with) and it’s produced by SublimeCloud (@SublimeCloud) of The Digi Destined. The song is paying homage to the 90’s Nickelodeon cartoon “Hey Arnold” a show that had a major impact on SkyBlew’s life. Most know, this was one of the most emotionally driven episodes from any cartoon! So, he decided to write a modern day version of the story. The album “SkyBlew’s UNmodern Life” will be for sale in late September via, Random aka Mega Ran’s RandomBeats Productions label! The album’s theme is Hey Arnold, Rocket Power, Anime & Video Games. MAINLY, Hey Arnold because that show SkyBlew could really relate to, in alot of ways. The album is very well done. These won’t just be IN YOUR FACE reference, reference, name drop songs, these are well put together concepts, so that people who don’t even know about these cartoons, video games & anime can still relate to it… No album out will sound like it! Coming soon…………. -Paint The Sky,Blew!!!

M.O.P.’s Billy Danze addresses violence in battle rap and the hip hop culture as a whole during an exclusive interview with VladTV, and says that he’s tired of seeing it play out, despite feeling like his group M.O.P. didn’t help the situation. He adds that the artists of today will be regretful of their decisions if they get involved with violence, and he feels it brings the entire culture down. The New York rapper then speaks on two of the most significant acts of violence to have occurred in the culture, referring to the deaths of 2Pac and Biggie. Billy says that there have been other violent deaths in the game, but Biggie and Pac’s were different, because of their caliber and the fact that the murders allegedly stemmed from beef between them. The M.O.P. emcee wraps things up by detailing how he believes folks in a rapper’s entourage can be the bigger liability, as they often feel like they have something to prove, so they go out and do something stupid like shoot someone.
