Wiz Khalifa Explains “Blacc Hollywood” Album Title [Video]

Wiz Khalifa sat down for an exclusive interview with VladTV, where he discussed the name of his upcoming album, “Blacc Hollywood.” The Pittsburgh rapper said that he’s holding down the underdogs, and adds that he’s trying to get away from the color aspect of black Hollywood. When asked about waiting two years to release another album, Wiz reveals that it took a while to get the vision in order. He also said that he wants to make sure that the project is really pushing him forward instead of just releasing music that he’s not fully into.

Papoose: “All Hip-Hop Has A New York Sound” [Video]

Brooklyn spitter Papoose shared his views on the state of New York Hip-Hop and what he believes is the root of the problem when it comes to bringing it back to the forefront of the culture. Firstly, Pap believes all of Hip-Hop is a “New York sound” because Hip-Hop started in NYC, and no matter how much different regions have changed or modified the sound, its roots will always be in NYC. That being said, Papoose disagrees with Kool Keith that the main problem is that NYC ran away from its sound. Pap believes that those in a position of power pick and choose who and what they want to perpetuate, and what they give the people of New York simply isn’t what they want.
