Jhene Aiko Reveals Album Release Date And Special Features [Video]

After taking a lengthy road trip with Drake on his Would You Like A Tour? in 2013 and receiving co-signs from the likes of LeBron James and hip hop favorites for her recently released Sail Out EP, Jhené Aiko isn’t getting comfortable anytime soon. The petite songstress, who has already appeared on Drizzy’s Nothing Was The Same and J. Cole’s Born Sinner, is finalizing her solo debut Souled Out (via Artium/ Def Jam Records) and has finally put a time stamp on her highly anticipated project. “May 2014. Souled Out,” she tells VIBE, smiling from ear-to-ear, before revealing a very special feature. “I have a song called “Premises” with my daughter Namiko Love. That, right now, is my favorite one.” This isn’t the first time her 4-year-old daughter has laid down vocals for her momma. Namiko can faintly be heard on the 2011 mixtape that catapulted Jhené’s career, sailing soul(s). But before the LP drops, the “Stay Ready” singer plans to deliver more eye candy. Yo Gotti Talks Grand Hustle & Previous Label Deals [Video]

Memphis rapper Yo Gotti opens up about the major label deals he’s had in his career, explaining that he’s bought himself out of every one, even dropping $500,000 to get out of a deal. Gotti says that he believes in himself enough as an artist to pay his way out of the deals because they weren’t right for him. He adds that his actions make him different from other artists who would take their money and buy chains, cars, and other luxuries, while he chooses to invest his earnings. When asked about T.I.’s interview with VladTV, where he said Yo Gotti was signed to Hustle Gang, the “Act Right” rapper reveals that it actually was never finalized, although the two talked about ways to make the partnership happen. Yo Gotti also opens up about his relationship with Tip, sharing that the “Whatever You Like” rapper is like a big brother to him.
