Joey Bada$$ has rapidly been building his reputation as one of the most respected new rappers, with a line of killer mixtapes and EPs along the way. This week he finally announced details of his debut album B4.DA.$$, due early next year. As 2014 winds to a close, it’s only right that we invite Joey back to the Boiler Room for a last-minute sweaty Sunday rap session. Taking care of the rest of the night’s soundtrack will be Joey’s Pro Era tour DJ & producer, Statik Selektah, alongside London’s foremost party-starting hip-hop DJ crew – and old school BR fam – Livin’ Proof.

The Brooklyn born rapper says that after Jonny Shipes reached out to him on Twitter, and he realized how big of a deal the encounter was. The “My Yout” rapper then explains how all the major labels were offering him deals after he dropped “1999,” but Joey says that he would need $9 million to sign.
