Read moreFresh off his “Divided Soul” EP, Nutso returns with his signature flow and his penchant for penning clever rhymes over this inventive Beatminerz’ chop of a classic breakbeat. DJ Evil Dee and Mr. Walt bring a reworked, yet familiar feel as Nutso takes you on another crazy journey involving his shenanigans through the streets of New York, full of comedy mixed with real life experiences. The lyrics weave in out as Nutso acts as a virtual tour guide for native New Yorkers and those less familiar with the “city that never sleeps.” Prepare as this latest single from the Q-Borough’s finest is guaranteed to induce insomnia.
Read moreThere’s a big difference between a New York record and a New York “sounding” record. The differences may seem trivial, but in the Internet era, a track coming from the East Coast could pass as if it was from the West Coast, or even the Dirty South. But to those of us raised by the sounds of kicks, snares, and thick bass lines are well aware of the impact they’ve had in our infatuation with the culture, which as of late has seemed to have taken a back seat to other styles. Luckily, Nutso, a Queens block boy, born and raised in the Rotten Apple, is here to supply us with some “Str8 Talk”; a gritty cut that’s sure to remind those that have been sleeping, that there’s no place quite like the home of Hip-Hop…NYC. Joined by Blacastan, and General Steele (of Smif-n-Wessun), the Ali Charlemagne (of Lightward Media) directed visuals, highlights both the skyline, and various bridges of the concrete jungle. “Str8 Talk” is the final video taken from Nutso’s ‘Divided Soul’ EP, which is produced entirely by Divided Souls Ent. & DJ Pain 1, and available for digital download and compact disc, courtesy of #NoLabelJustUS.
Read moreThe work of a block boy is never complete. From keeping your clientele stocked, to watching your back, days turn to night, nights turn to years. As a saint up to his neck in sinners, Nutso knows the ebb and flow of the game, and how it’s to be played. The Queens-based spitter has been entrenched in his craft as of late, keeping both the streets and the net in step to his next move. In joining forces with Divided Souls Ent. & DJ Pain 1, “Make It Hot,” takes various Biggie samples, courtesy of DJ Supa Dave, for a throwback banger to the days when that NYC sound could be heard in every system from the FDR to the PCH. The visuals, directed by Jay Large of Low Profile Media, opt for a day-to-day affair of the rapper’s hustle and grind, revealing Nutso’s need to deliver an authentic product to his fans. “Make it Hot” is the 2nd video released from Nutso’s ‘Divided Soul’ EP, which is produced entirely by Divided Souls Ent. & DJ Pain 1, and available for digital download and compact disc, courtesy of #NoLabelJustUS
