Having debuted on Entertainment Weekly yesterday, fans will be hype to hear new music from the trio of cloud-rap pioneers, who released their collaborative mixtape in the 4th quarter of last year. On this forthcoming loose single, “Alphabet City,” MA’s Mondre M.A.N. harmonizes on the opening bars, as he, Squadda B, and Tynethys spit a series of spaced-out rhymes atop production guided by a saw-synth fluctuating between octaves and a periodically slapping 808. “I don’t pay for shit, I wonder why/ Mack game on a bitch, only the strong survive,” raps Sacramento’s Tynethys, before admitting he’s lifted “off three blunts” and “on dab four.”

When describing the creative process, Tynethys explained it to be, “simple like the title. On October 22nd, indie rap favorites Main Attrakionz and upstart producer Tynethys will release a new mixtape, the essentially self-titled Main Attrakionz x Tynethys. Originally planned for release earlier this year, the Bay Area rappers and Sacramento producer hit a snag when the hard drive on which their entire album was saved, crashed. Rather than attempt to re-record the old music, the three, well known for the prolific nature of their musical output, got back in the studio and recorded an entire new mixtape.
