Following the shocking and untimely death of one of Heltah Skeltah’s own dynamic duo, Sean Price AKA Ruck, Rock went into hibernation. To emotionally deal with the death of not only a rap partner and motivator, but a friend and brother, right hand man. When Rock emerged, he came back to give the people what they really want to hear…the raw, real emotion of hip hop. “Da Streets Want Blood” will bring you along on a roller coaster of emotions that have been felt by the hip hop community worldwide, fans, friends, and loved ones after Sean P.’s passing. You can feel the flood of neighborhood memories from the Brownsville’s area of Brooklyn, the camaraderie of friends, then the raw anger, shock, and loss felt by Rockness. This song has the quality, veracity, and energy that fans have come to love about the Rockness Monsta’s style. Everything is Monsta! Including this song. According to reports from family and friends, rapper Sean Price died suddenly yesterday morning in his sleep at his home in Brooklyn. Price was only 43 years old. The cause of death is not known at this time, however an update will be made following the release of an autopsy report. Rest in Peace Sean Price. It is with beyond a heavy heart that Duck Down Music is sadly confirming that Sean Price passed away early this morning in his Brooklyn apartment, Saturday, August 8th, 2015. The cause of death is currently unknown, but it was reported that he died in his sleep. He’s survived by his wife, and his three children. Sean Price, who turned 43 in March of this year, was a beloved rap artist. He was 1/2 of the group Heltah Skeltah, a key member of the Boot Camp Clik, and a successful solo artist, known simply as Sean Price. Sean’s family and friends are asking for time to grieve and process the news. Further details will be issued when more information is available.
