M.O.P. Recall Hype Williams Being Shook While Directing Video [Video]

Mash Out Posse’s Billy Danze and Lil’ Fame sat down with VladTV recently to discuss timeless hip-hop, co-directing videos with Hype Williams, and what they think about Lil Wayne and Baby’s ongoing beef. “I don’t think about it,” Billy admits. “Whatever situation they got hopefully they can reconcile in some kind of way and nobody gets all belligerent or whatever.” During the interview the Brownsville duo also spoke on the time where they made music video director Hype Williams redo the 1994 visual “How About Some Hardcore” in their dangerous Brooklyn neighborhood. “We ran into him on Bleeker St. in New York and kinda put him in the car and told him [to] call his camera crew. ‘This is what we gonna do today,’” Billy remembers telling him. “Hype was shook,” Lil’ Fame adds with a laugh. Watch on to find out how “a lot of liquor” led to their collaboration with former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and what they’d do with the “lot of unreleased M.O.P. records.” “I mean for the right price we’d turn it all over,” says Billy Danze. “Have all this s***.”
