Read moreAs you probably know, one of the founding members of the A$AP Mob, and the man generally known as the vision behind the crew, A$AP Yams, passed away suddenly over the weekend. Although all of the A$AP members must be grieving at this time, Ferg didn’t let it stop from him performing the other night in Maryland, and after the show, he even sat down for an interview with our correspondent Baker. Ferg opened the interview by discussing the death of Yams, saying, “We had a tragedy happen today, earlier this morning, the co-founder of A$AP Worldwide, Yams, my brother, he passed away. You know we got through it with the show and all that but I’m still hurting.” As the rest of the interview transpired, Baker and Ferg discussed Ferg’s recent mixtape Ferg Forever, as well as what the week-long tour with YG has been like. Ferg talks about doing the “Ja Rule” record with Big Sean, and much more. Watch above. R.I.P. YAMS.

News of the 26-year-old’s death sent waves of shock through the Hip Hop world with artists and fans sharing their favorite memories of the young mogul online. Calling him a visionary, Ant speaks on Yams passing and says that the New Yorker would want people to be happy instead of mourning his passing. While reflecting on Yams’ talents, he also touched on the rumors that Yams died of an overdose. “That’s not what it is,” he said. “People keep talking saying he overdosed on Xanax and s*** like that. No, that’s not what happened at all. It wasn’t that at all.” He also spoke out about a photo that depicted A$AP Rocky at the hospital with Yams. “Everybody on Instagram posting pictures of Rocky at the hospital where he passed away at, ya’ll looking like females and the tabloids,” he said. “That’s not any of your business to post that. That’s private for somebody. I would want to see a picture of me on the internet going to the hospital to see my grandfather while he’s dying. I wouldn’t want to see that.” Ant broke down his friendship with Yams and how he was welcomed to the Mob family.
