Yung Miami – 2008 + F You [Audio]

Yung Miami invokes Jeezy and enlists DJ Drama on “2008,” released alongside “F You” ahead of her debut solo album, Watch Dis.

Yung Miami borrows Jeezy’s Snowman identity to answer the people who counted her out. On “2008,” the reference runs deeper than the hook: her verses emphasize staying solid under pressure, getting money and keeping the neighborhood behind her. She rejects the comeback narrative outright, insisting she never left.

DJ Drama’s interjections and Gangsta Grillz tags reinforce that mixtape-era connection, while Miami closes by calling herself Caresha, the Snowman. The Jeezy homage gives her defiance a specific vocabulary, turning criticism into motivation rather than dwelling on the people delivering it.

“2008” arrives alongside “F You” ahead of her debut solo album, Watch Dis, due October 23. In the album announcement, Miami described bringing the emotions stirred up by public criticism into the studio. Here, that pressure becomes a refusal to fold.
