E-40 – On Here Trippin [Video]

E-40 takes “On Here Trippin” into the studio with a Jae Synth-directed video for the track from Turning My Money Over.

E-40 lets the cameras behind the cameras into “On Here Trippin.” Directed by Jae Synth, the video cuts between performances against a white studio backdrop and a podcast setup, with shots of camera operators, lenses, and switching equipment woven into the edit.

That studio setting gives 40 room to play to the lens: he gestures through his performance, shows off his chain, and shares the frame with companions dancing behind him. In the seated scenes, artwork for Turning My Money Over fills the background, bringing the album campaign directly onto the set. The result feels like a shoot and its behind-the-scenes footage folded into one clip.
