Dave East & Harry Fraud – Stay With Me [Video]

Dave East and Harry Fraud’s “Stay With Me” video pairs street-life reflections with Charlie Doves’ graffiti, accompanying Price of Pain’s Luxury Edition.

Dave East talks about divorcing the streets on “Stay With Me,” but the memories keep pulling him back. Calls with incarcerated friends, violence, and a mother grieving her child cut through the success stories, leaving his escape from that life tangled up with loyalty to the people still in it.

Taken from Price of Pain, the Harry Fraud-produced song now has an official video accompanying the release of album’s Luxury Edition. Director Oz keeps East’s performance centered on a colorful graffiti wall, cutting to spray cans and painting details as Charlie Doves’ artwork gives the track a physical backdrop. The bright colors contrast with the losses in East’s verses, keeping the visual rooted in a street setting even as he raps about trying to leave that world behind.
