Anarchitact, Young Hump & Pacewon – On Da Mic [Audio]

Anarchitact handles the production and joins Young Hump of Digital Underground and Pacewon on the new single “On Da Mic.”

Anarchitact puts himself in both roles on “On Da Mic,” producing the record and stepping out from behind the boards to trade verses with Young Hump of Digital Underground and Pacewon. The Dutch artist builds the single around a straightforward MC showcase, with all three rappers getting their turn rather than treating the American names as decorative guest spots.

That transatlantic lineup also connects a few different corners of hip-hop history. Young Hump carries the Digital Underground affiliation, while Pacewon brings his long-established New Jersey pedigree to a record initiated and shaped by Anarchitact in the Netherlands. DJ Statinski adds scratches to the production, reinforcing the track’s traditional rapper-and-DJ framework without crowding the three-way exchange on the mic.

Released through Ground Beef Records, “On Da Mic” comes with another Dutch hip-hop connection outside the recording itself: Def P created the single’s artwork.
