After the June single, the pair kept that momentum moving with DEV on “I Got What You Like” and Travie McCoy on “Slow Down.” This video returns to the record that established the run’s West Coast center.

“Southern California” treats the region as a homecoming rather than a backdrop. Its refrain measures the coast against a life spent traveling, while the verses push back against the fantasy of treating L.A. as an Airbnb and confront the damage done by money, violence, and incarceration. Scoop Deville also takes a verse himself, keeping the track from settling into a simple rapper-over-producer setup.
