Nardo Wick begins his independent chapter with “Is Dat Right?,” a cold, stripped-down single accompanied by an official video.

Nardo Wick’s first single since going independent is less a reinvention than a controlled return to form. “Is Dat Right?” puts the Jacksonville rapper’s near-deadpan delivery over skeletal, hard-hitting trap production, letting the tension build in the space around his voice instead of forcing every bar to announce itself.

The 2:22 single keeps that economy intact. There is no guest verse to interrupt the pressure; Wick’s clipped phrasing and menacing writing stay at the center while the beat supplies just enough weight underneath. Following last year’s “Klap,” the track frames this new chapter as a shift in control, not identity.
