Akeem Ali – The Texture Tape 3 [Album Stream]

Akeem Ali extends his Texture Tape series with The Texture Tape 3, produced by Brian B-Flat Cook, alongside the new “Snakeskin” video.

Akeem Ali has turned a naming device into a full series language. The Texture Tape 3 keeps Keemy Casanova in the starring role and carries the material motif from “Rayon” and “Acrylic” through “Mink,” “Latex,” “Mesh” and “Yarn.” Brian B-Flat Cook handles every beat, giving Ali one production partner throughout as the concept stretches into a third volume.

Released July 21, the album follows the first two Texture Tape installments from 2025 while keeping the spotlight entirely on Ali. Rather than bringing in guests, the record stays inside the rapper-producer setup that has become central to the series.

The newly released “Snakeskin” video takes that tactile vocabulary into the visual world. Early in the clip, Ali sits in a pale white tiled room with a large snake draped across his arm, turning the song title into a physical part of the scene and giving The Texture Tape 3 another direct extension of its central idea.
