A-F-R-O feat. Bishop Lamont, Wordsworth & Terror Van Poo – Play On Wordz [Video]

A-F-R-O connects with Bishop Lamont, Wordsworth, and Terror Van Poo for the official video for “Play on Wordz,” another taste of the upcoming Trap Door 2 project.

A-F-R-O turns a posse cut built around verbal dexterity into a visual joke before the verses even settle in: “Play on Wordz” opens its video with a “Black Jon Taffer Bar Rescue” setup, then hands the floor to Bishop Lamont, Wordsworth, Terror Van Poo, and A-F-R-O himself. The pairing is deliberate, with four distinctly seasoned emcees working through a record A-F-R-O produced himself rather than treating the guest list as decoration.

“Play on Wordz” arrived earlier this month as the second preview from Trap Door 2, the August 28 follow-up to Trap Door. The rollout began with “Abandon Ship,” while A-F-R-O is again handling the new project’s production, mixing, mastering, and arrangement himself. On DSPs, the record appears as “Play on Wordz / Skit” and adds MotionPlus to the credits; the official video concentrates on the song portion and was also edited by A-F-R-O.
