Skilla Baby – Justin Credible Freestyle [Video]
Skilla Baby raps over Lil Wayne’s “Tha Mobb” on episode 240 of Justin Credible’s Freestyle Series ahead of The Price Of Fame.
Skilla Baby pauses the usual album-rollout script for episode 240 of Justin Credible’s Freestyle Series. Instead of offering another finished piece from The Price Of Fame, he takes on Lil Wayne’s “Tha Mobb”, the opening cut from 2005’s Tha Carter II. The choice turns a two-decade-old record into the setting for a short, stand-alone performance rather than a new product to package.
That gives the clip a useful place beside the songs that set the campaign in motion. “Face Card” arrived with Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller, while “Show Me Love” leaned into Skilla’s melodic side. Here, Wayne’s instrumental is the fixed point, leaving Skilla Baby to make its inherited frame his own. The YouTube-exclusive appearance is not another album single, but one more way into The Price Of Fame, due tomorrow, August 21 via Geffen.
