Rome Streetz pulls up to Power 106’s Justin Credible Freestyle Series and spits heat over Jay-Z’s “Rhyme No More” beat. The performance arrives after his recent Sock It 2 My Pocket album, which paired him, among others, with 9th Wonder on “High Speed.”

The stripped-back session leaves the beat open for Rome’s clipped delivery, dense internal rhymes, and hard street detail. There is no chorus to fall back on or elaborate arrangement to hide behind; the verse has to carry the whole piece, and Rome keeps it moving without sacrificing the writing.
