Ayra Starr – Starrgirl [Album Stream]

Ayra Starr’s third album, Starrgirl, moves between Afrobeat, R&B and pop across 16 tracks with Wizkid, Leon Thomas, Rema, kwn, Theodora, ZAYN and Danny Ocean.

Released last Friday (August 14) via Mavin Records and Republic Records, Ayra Starr’s third studio album, Starrgirl, spans 16 tracks recorded across Lagos, New York, and Los Angeles. It moves between Afrobeat, R&B, and pop without presenting those shifts as a break from who she is.

The guest list extends from Wizkid and Leon Thomas to Rema, kwn, Theodora, ZAYN, and Danny Ocean. Starr reconnects with Wizkid on “Gimme Dat” after their earlier collaboration on “2 Sugar”; the album then moves from the late-night pull of “Midnight in New York” to the stripped-back ZAYN duet “Heaven Baby” without treating any of those turns as a detour.

That breadth is the point: Ayra Starr is not choosing between the sounds that shaped her. She is using all of them. Stream the album below.
