Eff Yoo – G.O.D Is An Artist [EP]

Eff Yoo’s new EP G.O.D is an Artist brings together personal themes, guest appearances, and the Kel-C-produced “Rap City, Tha Basement” video featuring G.S. Advance, Jus-P, Avalanche, and Tre Eiht.

Eff Yoo’s latest project moves through family, religion, depression, success, failure; and brings in G.S. Advance, SMDR, Avalanche, Jus-P, and Tre Eiht, giving the personal material a strong crew presence.

The EP’s closing track, “Rap City, Tha Basement,” puts that chemistry front and center. Eff Yoo, G.S. Advance, Jus-P, Avalanche, and Tre Eiht trade verses over production by Kel-C, with DeliGotBeats assisting on the beat. The title is a direct nod to BET’s Rap City: Tha Basement and its cypher tradition, using a multi-MC showcase to prove that the format still has a place in hip-hop.

The accompanying video makes “Rap City, Tha Basement” a natural entry point into the new project. It follows the previously covered “No Rain, No Flowers,” which represents the EP’s more inward side, before Eff Yoo closes the release with the full home team.
