Quavo and Pharrell reconnect on “Trance (Walk It Down),” a club-ready track with a Daps-directed video filmed in Marbella.

Quavo and Pharrell follow “HAAVIN,” their Louis Vuitton runway cut, with a two-minute record designed for a different kind of room. “Trance (Walk It Down)” centers thick 808s, bouncing hi-hats, and clipped snare-and-clap percussion around an instantly repeated command, giving Quavo space to stretch his melodic drawl without loosening the groove.

Daps directs Quavo in Marbella, Spain, where the song’s club-floor attraction plays out aboard a yacht. Dancers, water, and the setting’s lavishness keep the video from overexplaining the track; it lets the refrain govern the scene.
