Mike Shabb & MIKE – Dontsweatit! [Audio]

Mike Shabb and MIKE join forces on “Dontsweatit!,” a Shabb-produced new single connected to the forthcoming Sewaside IV project.

Montreal and New York meet without any excess framing on “Dontsweatit!,” a new collaboration between Mike Shabb and MIKE. Both artists have built their catalogs from a similarly self-directed place: writing, shaping records from the production side, and letting a steady run of releases define the work.

Shabb handles production here, with VNCE Carter credited for the arrangement. The pairing brings MIKE into Shabb’s world at a particularly active moment for both artists. MIKE’s POMPEII // UTILITY with Earl Sweatshirt and Surf Gang arrived in April, while Shabb recently connected with Estee Nack on “PINPIN”.

“Dontsweatit!” also bears the #Sewaside4 tag, linking it to Shabb’s forthcoming Sewaside IV album. Rather than hold the next chapter back, he opens it with an artist who has built an equally singular lane on his terms.
