Kurupt & DJ Battlecat feat. Snoop Dogg – Me N The Boyz [Video]

Kurupt and Snoop Dogg trade verses over DJ Battlecat’s horn-heavy production in the official “Me N The Boyz” video.

DJ Battlecat packs “Me N The Boyz” with horns, layered background vocals, handclaps, and bass, then leaves Kurupt and Snoop Dogg enough room to move at distinctly different speeds.

Kurupt pushes into the pocket with clipped intensity. Snoop stretches his phrasing across the groove and lets the beat breathe. Their contrast has powered records for more than three decades, and Battlecat draws on that history without flattening the song into nostalgia.

Death Row Records issued the single on July 17, one week after “Gunna” reunited Kurupt and Battlecat with RBX. Their earlier “Sneak Attacc” brought Snoop Dogg and Charlie Bereal into the sequence. These records are building toward Kurupt’s forthcoming Battlecat-produced album ThaHolloW. No release date has been announced.
