Jorja Smith and Wizkid reconnect on “Alive,” a warm, dance-facing track that turns new desire into something light on its feet without losing the intimacy in her writing.

The chemistry is immediate. Jorja moves through the record with a soft but controlled touch, letting the rhythm lift her vocal instead of crowding it. Wizkid slides in naturally, adding a calmer glow to the song’s pulse rather than treating the feature like a takeover. Between them, “Alive” finds its sweet spot: romantic, percussive, and breezy enough for summer without flattening the emotion.

The single also opens the door to Jorja’s forthcoming album What Are The Odds, which is set to arrive in August. Produced by longtime collaborator P2J, the project leans into club-rooted sounds across UK garage, grime, 2-step, UK funky, soulful house, and Afro house, with “Alive” giving that direction a smooth first push.

Gabriel Trautmann directs the official video, shot in Paris, and the visual matches the song’s easy movement with sunlit bodies, close glances, and a sense of romance that feels more lived-in than staged. “Alive” does not overplay the moment. It lets Jorja Smith and Wizkid do what they do best: make a soft spark feel fully present.
