Sam Krats feat. Artifacts – Emcees Recognise [Video]

Sam Krats taps into pure Brick City pedigree on “Emcees Recognise,” bringing Artifacts into the fold for a rugged boom-bap cut from his new full-length offering, Culture.

The track pairs Krats’ sample-driven production with El Da Sensei and the late Tame One, whose voices still carry the blunt edge, timing, and chemistry that made the New Jersey duo such a defining name in underground rap.

Nothing here feels polished into comfort. “Emcees Recognise” works through hard drums, dusty texture, and straight-ahead mic work, with Artifacts cutting through the beat in classic form. El Da Sensei sounds locked in, while Tame One’s presence gives the record extra weight without turning it into a forced tribute piece. It plays like respect paid through the music itself.

The new video adds another angle to Culture, a 22-track project released through Revorg Records and built around Krats’ deep connection to ’90s boom-bap, UK rap, and US underground lineage. The album also features Craig G, Edo.G, Jeru The Damaja, Guilty Simpson, Ruste Juxx, Neek The Exotic, Gee Bag, Ramson Badbonez, King Kashmere, Jazz T and more, with “Emcees Recognise” sitting early in the tracklist as one of its clearest statements of intent.

Krats has already worked with El Da Sensei across records like “Annihilate,” “360,” and “Revive Rap,” but “Emcees Recognise” carries a different kind of history. With Tame One heard alongside El once again, the song connects eras without forcing nostalgia into the foreground.
