Wiki feat. SALIMATA – Something New [Video]

Wiki keeps promoting Ancient History with a new video for “Something New,” his SALIMATA-assisted album cut produced by MIKE under the dj blackpower alias.

The song sits in a softer pocket of the record without losing Wiki’s usual conversational edge. Over warm keys and loose drums, he and SALIMATA move through the track like a back-and-forth exchange in motion: flirtatious, understated, very New York, and sharp enough to avoid slipping into easy sweetness. Their chemistry gives “Something New” its charm, especially because neither side overplays the moment.

Ancient History already arrived as Wiki’s first solo album in seven years, with guests including Your Old Droog, duendita, and SALIMATA. “Something New” now gets a little more room outside the album sequence, bringing one of the project’s most relaxed cuts back into focus. Watch the video below.
