“2011 – Winter Is Coming” drops into Clef Notes – Quantum Leap, Vol. 1 as one of the album’s more reflective timestamps. The title points to 2011, but the record does not feel trapped in nostalgia. Wyclef uses the year as another marker in a larger autobiographical run, moving through memory, faith, survival, and the strange pressure of seeing the future while still carrying the past.

The song sits inside the first chapter of his wider Quantum Leap project, which begins at his hip-hop roots before the planned series moves through other genres. On “Winter Is Coming,” that framing matters: Wyclef is not chasing a throwback moment so much as folding another period of his life into the album’s time-jump structure.

The official video leans into that atmosphere with a clean, cinematic weight.
