YG releases The Gentlemen’s Club, a West Coast-heavy album featuring Pusha T, Tyler, The Creator, Shoreline Mafia, JID, Ab-Soul, Buddy, and more.

Compton rapper YG steps back into album mode with The Gentlemen’s Club, a polished but still hard-edged West Coast record that puts the Compton rapper in a more reflective frame without sanding down his bite.

The album opens with “INTRO” before moving straight into “OMG,” where Pusha T meets YG over a flex-heavy setup that feels like two different street-rap dialects finding common ground. From there, The Gentlemen’s Club stretches between club pressure, cold storytelling, and relationship wreckage. “HITMAN” and “READY TO DIE (HITMAN RESPONSE)” give the project a narrative spine, while “DINNER DATES & HEART BREAKS” and “INSECURE” pull more emotional tension into the room without turning the album soft.

YG still sounds most comfortable when the bass is doing damage. “GANG BIZNESS” with PayGotti, “WE KNOW THE TRUTH,” and “HOLLYWOOD” with Shoreline Mafia bring the record back to the bounce and menace that have always powered his strongest stretches. At the same time, the guest list widens the palette: Tyler, The Creator slips into the whispery “ON THE LOW,” Isaiah Falls, Odeal, and Sasha Keable help open up “SIMON SAYS,” while JID and Ab-Soul sharpen the back half on “INSECURE.”

What makes The Gentlemen’s Club work is that YG does not abandon the blunt-force energy people expect from him. He just lets more conflict sit next to it. The album is still full of posturing, street codes, and West Coast muscle, but there is also more room for consequence, regret, and self-checking than the title might suggest.
