DJ Muggs & T.F – Power Tools [EP]

DJ Muggs and T.F release Power Tools, a new Soul Assassins Records EP featuring NEMS, alternate versions, and the instrumental.

DJ Muggs and T.F keep the machinery heavy on Power Tools, a compact new EP built around one grimy title track and three alternate versions that dig deeper into its texture. NEMS joins the original version, adding Coney Island bark to a record already wired for concrete, smoke and steel-toed momentum.

Muggs sets the tone with production that feels blunt but not flat: hard drums, dark pressure, enough open space for the verses to punch through cleanly. T.F sounds right at home in that pocket, letting his voice carry the dirt without rushing the beat. NEMS sharpens the edges even more, turning “Power Tools” into a coast-to-coast collision between L.A. weight and New York aggression.

The rest of the EP keeps the focus narrow in a good way. “Power Tools (Cassette)” and “Power Tools (Dusted Edition)” reframe the same core record through different filters, while the instrumental gives Muggs’ production room to breathe on its own. Instead of padding the release, the format treats the track like something worth pulling apart and running back from multiple angles.
