Fly Anakin clocks back in with (The) Forever Dream: Night Shift, pushing the world of last year’s (The) Forever Dream deeper into after-hours territory.

Built from the same loose chemistry he developed with executive producer Quelle Chris, the project plays like a late-night broadcast from inside Anakin’s orbit: short transmissions, smoked-out jokes, sharp verses, strange detours, and guests drifting in and out of the room. Rather than treating Night Shift as a throwaway appendix, Anakin uses the extra space to stretch the original album’s communal energy into something stranger and more nocturnal.

Across 14 tracks, the Richmond MC links with $ilkMoney, Henny L.O., NoGum Hundo, billy woods, Quelle Chris, Domo Genesis, bbymutha, and Fatima, while Chris Keys, DJ Harrison, Child Actor, Graymatter, Shungu, Quelle Chris, and Anakin himself help shape the production. That lineup gives the record plenty of movement without pulling it away from Anakin’s voice: clipped, funny, technically locked-in, and casually off-kilter in the way only he can make feel natural.

“HAPPINESS,” featuring $ilkMoney and Henny L.O., gets the visual treatment and works as a sharp entry point into the project. Placed right after “Clock In-tro,” the track opens the shift with warped momentum and a crew-heavy spark, letting Anakin’s world sound crowded without becoming cluttered.
