Amerigo Gazaway opens the vault again on Bonus Beats: Vol. 4, another instrumental tape built from ideas that never quite fit into one of his larger worlds.

The 12-track set moves with the loose charm of a producer clearing space without treating the music like scraps. “Your Love” and “Heart & Soul” lean into the warmth of soulful boom bap, “I-65 South” and “Country Slang” bring a little Southern motion, while “Berimbau” pulls Brazilian color into the mix. Elsewhere, “Between Worlds” and “Cosmos” drift toward the more atmospheric side of Gazaway’s sample-minded universe.

That range has always been part of his appeal. Gazaway’s best work understands hip-hop history without turning it into homework, and Bonus Beats: Vol. 4 carries that same instinct in instrumental form: breakbeat logic, dusty texture, melodic detail, and enough movement to keep the tape from feeling like a folder dump.
