G Herbo – Lil Herb: Lil Heroin Edition [Album Stream]
G Herbo expands Lil Herb into Lil Herb: Lil Heroin Edition, a 35-song release featuring Polo G, Skilla Baby, Ty Dolla $ign, and YK Dee.
Herbo does not treat the Lil Herb name like a costume. On Lil Herb: Lil Heroin Edition, the Chicago rapper stretches last year’s return-to-origin project into a full double-disc statement, folding 17 additional songs into the world he reopened with Lil Herb and its extended version.
At 35 tracks, this edition moves more like a flood than a tidy deluxe. The earlier material still carries the weight of Herbo looking back at the kid who came out of Chicago drill with a veteran’s voice, while the added songs push the project back into street-level motion. “Thug” sets that tone early, and its official video gives the expanded edition a hard visual companion without pulling attention away from the larger release.
Among the new cuts are “I Did,” “Go,” “Swerv n Nem” with Doowop and Big Opp, “Outta Bounds” with Polo G and Big Opp, “Brown Skin” with Skilla Baby, “DND” with Ty Dolla $ign, “End of the Tunnel” with YK Dee, “Story of a Thug,” “Steel,” “Because of You,” “October Thoughts,” and “How Can I Lose.” Features from Jeremih, Wyclef Jean, Turbo The Great, and Anderson .Paak remain woven into the bigger edition through records like “Whatever U Want,” “Emergency,” and “Thank Me.”
Herbo sounds strongest when memory and pressure hit the same bar: grief, survival, pride, paranoia, family, and the discipline of someone who still raps like every verse has to earn its place. Lil Herb: Lil Heroin Edition is not a neat nostalgia trip. It plays more like a long conversation between the voice that broke through and the grown man still carrying those stories.
