Blxst – Labor Of Love [Album Stream]

Blxst releases Labor of Love, a 13-track self-produced album featuring Sasha Keable, Big Sad 1900, Lori Perry, and Cheyenne Wright.

Blxst strips the frame back on Labor of Love. After the widescreen structure of I’ll Always Come Find You, his new album feels more direct: no character arc to decode, no cinematic concept carrying the weight, just songs about commitment, family, romance, patience, and the work that happens after the first spark fades.

That focus gives the project its shape. Across 13 tracks, Blxst leans into the warm, melodic pocket that made him a West Coast R&B-rap staple, but the writing has a noticeably lived-in quality. “Just My Type” brings back the bounce and ease of his earlier sound, while “Ruin” with Sasha Keable turns relationship tension into one of the album’s sharper moments. “Day After Day” connects him with Big Sad 1900 and Lori Perry, and “Work” with Cheyenne Wright cuts closer to the family-centered side of the record.

Several visuals already surround the album, including the official videos for “Day After Day” and “Ruin.” They fit naturally with a project that is less about reinvention than refinement. Blxst wrote and produced the album himself, and that control shows in how cohesive Labor of Love feels: smooth, compact, personal, and intentionally unflashy.

Where I’ll Always Come Find You moved like a film; Labor of Love plays more like a page from his actual life. Blxst is still making music for late drives and complicated conversations, but this time the emotional center is closer to home.
