Tems gives “What You Need” a new visual life, returning to one of the most vulnerable moments from Love Is A Kingdom with the official video now out.
The track sits near the end of the project, where the warmth of devotion starts to give way to distance and doubt. Tems does not push the emotion too hard; she lets the hook circle back with the weight of someone trying to say the painful thing plainly. That restraint is what makes “What You Need” cut deeper. Her voice stays calm on the surface, but every repetition carries the ache of a relationship that has already begun to slip out of reach.
