Lord Sko and Statik Selektah close out ELEVATOR MUSIC with “WISH UPON A STAR,” and the new visualizer gives the album’s final stretch a little extra shine.

After a project built on dusty drums, sharp New York phrasing, and Statik’s sample-heavy production, the track pulls the pace back just enough for Sko to sound reflective without softening the record’s boom-bap core.

Released on May 15, ELEVATOR MUSIC pairs Lord Sko with Statik Selektah across 10 tracks, with features from Dave East, B-Real, Smoke DZA, Ab-Soul and a stacked “N.W.O.” lineup. “WISH UPON A STAR” works as the album’s closing note: soulful, slightly worn around the edges, and grounded in the same hunger that runs through the rest of the project.
