Berner & Nava – Cartel Symphony [Album Stream]

The duo leans into a cinematic cross-border sound on Cartel Symphony, moving through slick rap talk, melodic hooks, and Spanish-language textures without losing the Bay Area cool at the center of Berner’s lane.

Across nine tracks, the project keeps things tight and direct. “Anything For Me” opens the door with a smooth, polished feel, while “Poder y Respeto,” “Froze,” “Mafia,” “Tonta,” “Un Party,” and “Dubai” give the album its mix of street-code language, luxury imagery, and late-night motion. Nava’s presence brings a different melodic weight to Berner’s usual smoked-out delivery, and the contrast is what makes the record more than another straight rap release in his catalog.

Guests are used sparingly. Jay Dee appears on “Poder y Respeto,” Yung Chowder joins “Froze,” and Jaziel Avilez closes the album with Berner and Nava on “Road.” That final stretch helps underline the project’s bilingual shape, letting the record move between rap grit and a more melodic, regional edge.

Visuals are already part of the album’s rollout too. “Anything For Me” gave Cartel Symphony its first clean entry point, and the newly released video for “Froze” brings Yung Chowder into the frame for one of the project’s colder, more polished cuts.
