Cookin Soul and Estee Nack join forces on AL-ANDALUS, an 11-track album featuring Yung Beef, Lil Supa, and Planet Asia.

The project brings the Valencia producer’s dusty, sample-rich boom bap into direct contact with Nack’s dense street scripture—it does not chase gloss. Cookin Soul keeps the drums warm, the loops heavy, and the atmosphere smoky, giving Estee Nack the kind of textured space where his writing can twist, stack, and spill over the edges. Across the record, the Massachusetts rapper sounds fully at home inside that grit: cryptic, forceful, animated, and sharp enough to make every pocket feel lived-in.

AL-ANDALUS runs 11 tracks and keeps the guest list tight, with Yung Beef appearing on “Telex Free Trap,” Lil Supa joining “Bread & Wine,” and Planet Asia closing things out on “Ghost in the Lab.” From “Santeria” and “Inbound” through “La Bomba,” “More or Less,” and “La Poli,” the project stays locked into a specific temperature—raw but controlled, heavy but never stiff.

Cookin Soul produced, mixed, and mastered the entire album, with artwork handled by Torre Pentel. That full-circle control gives AL-ANDALUS its identity: one producer, one main voice, and a sound that feels carved from crates, concrete, and old-world shadows.
